BMC Roadmachine AMP turuletoomine toimus 2021. aastal kui BMC esmaklassiline elektriline maanteeratas, mis on loodud pakkuma abi tõusudel ja pikematel sõitudel, ilma et see kahjustaks traditsioonilise maanteeratta sõidutunnet. See on suunatud vastupidavusmaanteeratturitele, kes soovivad oma sõiduulatust suurendada või raskemat maastikku abiga vallutada. Tuntud oma integreeritud TQ HPR50 mootori ja akusüsteemi poolest, mis on erakordselt kerge ja diskreetne, Roadmachine AMP eesmärk on pakkuda loomulikku abi. See on praegu tootmises ja saadaval erinevates spetsifikatsioonides.

  • Firm ride on rough surfaces — the stiff frame and narrow 28 mm tyres limit comfort vs gravel/all-road e-bikes
  • 350 Wh battery is non-removable, so you must charge the whole bike and rely on a costly range extender for more range
  • Premium pricing (roughly €7,000–10,000) puts it out of reach as a budget e-road option
  • Narrow tyre clearance (33 mm on the AMP) limits versatility compared with the later AMP X
