Kaabo is a Shenzhen-based manufacturer that became a household name in the enthusiast e-scooter world through the Mantis. Launched around 2019, the Mantis line was co-developed with Minimotors (the company behind the Dualtron), and it hit a sweet spot the market had been missing: near-Dualtron performance and build quality at roughly half the price. The 'Pro' trim (60V, dual 1000W motors, 24.5Ah LG pack) quickly became the reference '40 mph' scooter and a default recommendation on review sites for years. Over time the platform was refreshed and rebadged into the 'Mantis 10' family (the '10' denoting the 10-inch wheels), with trims spanning Lite, Eco, Plus and Pro/Pro+. The V2 revisions modernised the package with 11-inch tubeless tires, full lighting with turn signals, and an official IPX5 water rating, while keeping the same overbuilt aluminium frame and folding stem that made the original famous.

- Exceptional, 'bomb-proof' build quality and durability rated among the best in class
- Strong dual-motor acceleration (0-15 mph in ~2 s) with genuine ~37-40 mph top speed
- Excellent ride comfort from dual coil suspension plus large pneumatic tires, and powerful hydraulic braking on the original
- Heavy (~30 kg) and, on the original, non-folding handlebars make it awkward to carry and store
- Original Pro has no official IP rating — poor wet-weather sealing was a known weak point (fixed to IPX5 only on the V2 refresh)
- Spec drift across years/regions (brakes went semi-hydraulic, tires changed to 11" tubeless) makes buying used confusing
