Kugoo is a Shenzhen-based electric-scooter brand that rose to prominence in the late 2010s by flooding European and Asian marketplaces (AliExpress, Banggood, Amazon, Geekbuying) with cheap, aggressively-priced folding scooters shipped from EU warehouses to dodge import friction. The S-series (S1, S3, S3 Pro) was its breakout budget line, positioned as a value alternative to the Xiaomi M365 for riders who wanted a foldable commuter under a few hundred euros. Around 2021-2022 the brand rebranded its consumer-facing storefronts to 'KuKirin' (and 'KugooKirin') to consolidate identity and distance itself from a flood of grey-market clones using the Kugoo name, which is why the same S3 Pro appears under both 'Kugoo S3 Pro' and 'KuKirin S3 Pro'. It remains one of the brand's longest-selling and most-cloned models.
