GT1
Algupära
Segway-Ninebot is the merged entity born when Ninebot, a Beijing self-balancing-scooter startup, acquired the American pioneer Segway Inc. in 2015 with backing from Xiaomi and Sequoia. For years the company was best known for its affordable, mass-market Ninebot/Xiaomi-style commuter kick-scooters. The GT series, unveiled in 2021 and rolled out globally through 2022, was Segway's deliberate move upmarket into the enthusiast 'super-scooter' segment long dominated by boutique brands like Dualtron, Kaabo and Vsett. The GT1 is the entry model of that two-scooter line, positioned beneath the dual-motor GT2. It packaged genuinely premium hardware - a proper double-wishbone front suspension, four-piston hydraulic brakes, self-sealing tyres and a big 1008Wh pack - behind Segway's mainstream distribution, warranty and app ecosystem, making a high-performance scooter available through ordinary retail channels rather than grey-import specialists.
Tehnilised andmed
- Kaal
- kg
- Pidurid
- Dual hydraulic disc, 140mm rotors, front+rear + regenerative braking
Verdikt
- Outstanding ride comfort and stability - the adjustable double-wishbone/trailing-arm suspension and 11-inch tyres soak up rough urban surfaces like little else in the class
- Strong, confidence-inspiring dual hydraulic disc brakes with regenerative assist
- Backed by Segway's mainstream retail, app, warranty and support - a genuine 'super-scooter' without grey-import risk
- Very heavy at 47.6 kg and bulky - awkward to lift, carry or store; not for anyone needing portability
- Real-world range falls well short of the 70 km claim (~35 km at sustained speed); plan around ~35-45 km
- Premium price for what are, on paper, mid-tier performance figures versus similarly priced dual-motor rivals; LCD display washes out in bright sun
Põlvkonnad
GT1 (single motor)
- Entry GT model; single rear motor, cruiser-leaning, ~7.5s 0-30 mph
GT2 (dual motor, sibling)
- Flagship sibling, not a GT1 trim: 2WD, faster (~3.9s 0-30 mph), bigger battery, OLED transparent display, ~€1000+ dearer
