Turbo Tero turuletoomine 2022. aastal oli Specializedi keskklassi fitnessi-/pendliratta mudel, mis asetseb linnaliku Vado ja maastikule kalduva Tero X vahel. Ehitatud samale täisvõimsusega 2.x mootoriplatvormile nagu Vado ja Levo (90 Nm tippversioonil 5.0, 70 Nm versioonil 4.0, 50 Nm versioonil 3.0), kasutab Tero alumiiniumist E5 raami, enamikel versioonidel vedrustusega kahvlit, 29" rattaid suurusel M ja suurematel ning kinnituspunkte pakiraamile, poritiibadele ja tuledele. Specialized positsioneeris selle sõitjatele, kes soovisid ühte ratast, mis hakkama saaks kruusateedel, kergel üksikrajal, linnaliikluses ja nädalavahetuse toimetustel ilma Vado kiiruse-pedelec kompromissideta. Tero jagab oma 710 Wh sisemist alumiiniumtoru akut Vado ja Comoga, võimaldades teenindusosade ühilduvust kogu aktiivses mudelivalikus. Tootmine toimub Specializedi Aasia tehastes, EL-i jaotusega Šveitsist.

- Class-leading integration — Specialized's own motor, 710 Wh battery, MasterMind TCD2 display, fenders and rack are custom-built and judged better-finished than most rivals.
- Huge usable range from the 710 Wh battery (up to ~120 km Eco), with Smart Control app mode that caps assist to guarantee you finish a planned route.
- Genuinely versatile — handles city commuting, gravel paths, light singletrack and weekend touring on one bike; quick to adapt to, stable handling.
- Strong EU/Baltic dealer and service support, and battery/parts shared with the Vado and Como lineup for easy serviceability.
- EQ trims add factory lights, fenders, MIK rack (27 kg) and kickstand — fully commuter-ready out of the box.
- Heavy — ~26 kg in EQ trim makes it cumbersome to lift, carry up stairs or load on a rack.
- Motor noise complaints on some units — a loud rattle in the downtube reported by reviewers.
- The 50 Nm motor on the entry 3.0 feels underpowered and clunky/jerky off the line and on steep climbs, especially for heavier riders.
- Premium price — 4.0 EQ around €5,000-5,800, limiting accessibility versus value-brand rivals.
- Practical niggles: long front fender catches stairs/curbs/sticks, charge port sits awkwardly low, pointy kickstand sinks in soft ground, and no shift-sensing means extra chain/sprocket wear.
