Phibra
Kilmė
Carrera Podium was founded in 1989 in Calcinato, in Italy's Lombard lake district, by former pro rider and team manager Davide Boifava. The workshop grew directly out of the legendary Carrera Jeans professional cycling team — the squad of Stephen Roche, Claudio Chiappucci and a young Marco Pantani — with the race riders literally working from the same building as product testers. Carrera claims over 500 professional victories and several manufacturing firsts, including the first aluminium-to-carbon bonded frame and the first made-to-measure carbon frame produced in Italy. The Phibra was, for roughly a decade in the 2010s, the flagship of that range: a hand-built carbon race frame instantly recognisable by its sculpted arching top tube. Crucially, this Italian Carrera is a completely different company from the Carrera house brand sold by Halfords in the UK — Halfords holds the Carrera name in Britain, which is exactly why a real Phibra historically had to be imported from Italy.

Verdiktas
- Genuine hand-built Italian carbon with real pro-team heritage (Carrera Podium, not Halfords)
- Distinctive 'Double Arc' frame — stiff and aero yet noted for a comfortable, lively ride
- Frameset-first sales make it a great platform for a custom 105/Ultegra/Campagnolo build
- Rare and hard to service/source — no official UK/Baltic dealer network, spares and proprietary seatpost parts are difficult
- Rim-brake only — no disc option, which dates it against modern road bikes
- Name confusion with the far cheaper Halfords Carrera can mislead buyers on value
