Operator
Kilmė
The Kona Operator was the brand's dedicated downhill bike from the early 2010s through 2022, serving as the weapon of choice for Kona's World Cup DH program. It featured the Beamer Independent Suspension system — Kona's proprietary DH linkage — and came in both aluminum and carbon (CR) variants. After 2022, Kona discontinued the Operator name, folding the gravity DH role into the Process X DH platform, which brought a unified chassis concept across park and trail riding.

- Adjustable geometry (flip chip + headset cups) gave riders flexibility across different tracks
- Mullet-ready dropouts were ahead of the trend
- Discontinued — no longer available new; parts support may diminish over time
- Pure DH geometry (62–63°) makes it unsuitable for pedalling or shuttling without a truck
- Heavy by modern DH standards as carbon tech evolved
