Izcelsme
Spectral:ON bija Canyon pirmais sērijveida e-MTB, kas tika laists klajā 2018. gadā kā populārā Spectral taku velosipēda elektrificētā versija. Tas noteica Canyon pieeju e-MTB: paņemt pārbaudītu taku velosipēdu, uzstādīt liela griezes momenta motoru un noregulēt balstiekārtas kinemātiku atbilstoši pievienotajam akumulatora svaram, nevis vienkārši pieskrūvēt motoru esošajam rāmim. Pašreizējā paaudze izmanto 150 mm aizmugurējo gājienu kopā ar 160 mm dakšu, izmanto jaukta riteņa (mullet) ģeometriju ar 29 collu priekšējo un 27,5 collu aizmugurējo riteni, un ir standartizēta uz Shimano EP801 motoru (ar EP600 ieejas komplektācijās), nevis Bosch — apzināta izvēle dabiskā pedāļu sajūta un regulējamības dēļ, izmantojot Shimano E-Tube lietotni. Vieglā Spectral:ONfly versija izmanto TQ HPR 50 motoru, lai izveidotu zem 19 kg smagu taku e-velosipēdu, kas brauc tuvāk parastajam MTB. Akumulatora ietilpība sasniedz 900 Wh pilnas jaudas modeļiem. Spectral:ON ir pozicionēts kā agresīvs taku / viegls enduro velosipēds, nevis XC rīks.
