Centurion introduced the Overdrive in spring 2019, choosing the Fazua Evation motor precisely because it could be removed entirely — letting the bike function as a conventional road bike when the motor pack is out. The carbon Z4000 Road, at 13.92 kg, was among the world's lightest production e-road bikes at launch and attracted attention from road cyclists who previously dismissed e-bikes as too heavy. In 2020, an aluminium Overdrive City with flat bar broadened the range to urban commuters. The Fazua 2.0 upgrade improved torque feel and cadence sensing over the original Evation 1.0.
