Trekking
Izcelsme
In 1984, Wolfgang Renner looked at the mountain bikes he was building and asked: what if this capability was channelled into a practical everyday bike? The result — the Accordo GT — gave birth to the trekking bike category. By adding wider tyres, upright bars, mudguards and rack provisions to a geometry inspired by off-road bikes, Centurion created a new kind of bicycle that was neither road bike nor mountain bike, but something better suited to the way most Europeans actually ride. The concept was quickly adopted across the industry. Today Centurion's trekking lineup spans the minimalist Accordo to the fully-suspended electric Country R/LX series, but all share the DNA of that 1984 original.
