Izcelsme

The Strattos has been Polygon's road entry platform since 2012 — a deliberate choice to make road cycling accessible in Southeast Asia and emerging markets. The design prioritized comfort and reliability over outright aerodynamics, with an upright geometry that suits both commuters stepping up to road bikes and recreational cyclists on mixed terrain. Carbon forks were introduced early to dampen road buzz without a premium frame.

Verdikts

+Stiprās puses
  • Carbon fork included at price points where competitors use alloy, improving ride comfort noticeably
  • Clean internal routing and tapered headtube give the frame a look that punches above its price
  • Tiagra 10-speed drivetrain on S4D is reliable and well-supported globally
Vājās puses
  • Mechanical rim brakes on S2/S3/S4 limit wet-weather braking confidence compared to disc alternatives
  • Upright endurance geometry may feel slow for riders wanting a more aggressive race position
  • Component spec at S2/S3 level (Claris/Sora) starts to lag behind competitors at the same price
