Izcelsme

Slash ir Trek enduro sacensību ierocis, dzimis 2011. gadā kā 160 mm 26 collu Remedy evolūcija un ar katru paaudzi arvien vairāk virzīts gravitācijas teritorijā. 6. paaudze (ieviesta 2024. gadam) bija visradikālākā pārveide: Trek atteicās no klasiskā ABP izkārtojuma par labu augstas sviras balstiekārtai ar starpriteni, 170 mm aizmugures gājienu, 170 mm dakšu un 63,3° galvas leņķi, kas izstrādāta sadarbībā ar Trek Factory Racing Enduro komandu. Augstā svira rada aizmugurējo ass trajektoriju trieciena brīdī, ļaujot ritenim izvairīties no asiem šķēršļiem — izkārtojums, ko aizsāka Commencal un Forbidden, bet Trek to noregulēja atbilstoši savam patentētajam ABP un progresijas līknei. Rāmji tiek ražoti gan no alumīnija, gan OCLV oglekļa. Slash tiek salīdzināts ar Specialized Enduro, Yeti SB160, Norco Range un Privateer 161, un vairākas sezonas ir bijis uz EWS/EDR pjedestāliem.

The aluminum Slash 8 Gen 6 offers the same high-pivot suspension as carbon models at significantly lower price — the weight penalty is modest for enduro use.
