Izcelsme

Supercaliber ir Trek mērķtiecīgi būvēts Pasaules kausa XC sacīkšu velosipēds, kas tika laists klajā 2020. gadā kā radikāla atbilde uz jautājumu 'kas būtu, ja jums būtu aizmugurējā piekare bez četru sviru savienojuma svara un sānu elastības?' Sākotnējā Gen 1 versija izmantoja 60 mm aizmugurējo gājienu, izmantojot IsoStrut — integrētu amortizatoru, kas kalpo arī kā augšējais sēdekļa statnis, ar SRAM/RockShox kopīgi izstrādātu slāpētāju, kas paslēpts oglekļa caurulē, kas griežas tikai pie apakšējā kronšteina zonas. Rāmim nebija tradicionālā aizmugurējā pagrieziena punkta; tā vietā sēdekļa statņi liecās. Gen 2 (modeļa gadi 2024-2026) palielināja aizmugurējo gājienu līdz 80 mm, priekšējo līdz 110 mm, saglabāja IsoStrut arhitektūru un vēl vairāk samazināja svaru. Jolanda Neff izcīnīja olimpisko zeltu uz Supercaliber Tokijas 2020 spēlēs, un Trek braucēji ir kāpuši uz pjedestāla Pasaules kausa un Pasaules čempionāta XC pasākumos uz šīs platformas. Ražošana notiek tikai Trek Āzijas oglekļa partneros; sakausējuma versija nepastāv.

Gen 2 (2024+) is a significant improvement over Gen 1 — if buying new, go Gen 2. The extra travel, slacker geo, and RockShox SIDLuxe IsoStrut are meaningful upgrades.

SLR vs SL frame choice: SLR saves ~80g+ at frame level and uses higher modulus carbon, but SL retains cable routing guides for easier maintenance. For club racers, SL may be the smarter value choice.

When buying used Gen 1: check IsoStrut service history carefully. The Fox IsoStrut is proprietary and has been flagged by suspension specialists for potential reliability issues. Factor in a professional service.
