Происхождение
The Crossway has been Merida's accessible trekking and hybrid offering since the mid-2000s, evolving to incorporate hydraulic disc brakes, wider tyre clearance and more practical accessories as the commuter and fitness cycling market grew. The name and format have remained consistent across nearly two decades: a capable, comfortable 700c aluminium bike for riders who want everyday reliability without the bulk of a full touring bike or the aggression of a fitness bike.

−Недостатки
- Suspension fork adds weight and maintenance complexity — lockout lever helps on road, but the coil spring isn't tunable
- QR rear axle (not thru-axle) limits precision and is an older standard on a 2024 bike
- Crossway is a utility bike, not a performance one — riders seeking speed will outgrow it quickly
