Происхождение
2002. Компания Specialized представила Epic как революционный полноподвесочный велосипед для кросс-кантри с запатентованным амортизатором Brain — технологией подвески с инерционным клапаном, которая автоматически различала действия райдера и удары от трассы. Это была первая серийная система подвески, которая эффективно устраняла раскачку педалей без вмешательства райдера.

If buying a used Brain-equipped Epic (pre-2024), be aware that Specialized no longer services older Brain shock internals. Verify Brain shock functionality before purchase.
