Jett
Kilmė
Specialized launched the Jett kids' bike line in 2021 as its answer to the premium lightweight kids-bike specialists (woom, Frog, Prevelo, Cleary) that had, for years, out-designed the big brands on fit and weight. Rather than simply shrinking an adult frame, Specialized ran its Retul body-scanning tool across children's proportions and found that conventional kids' bikes had cranks that were too wide, cranks too long, and handlebars set too high - opening the shoulder angle and hurting control. The Jett was engineered around that data: a light A1 butted-alloy frame, a narrow Q-factor so small feet sit closer together, narrow grips and short brake levers for small hands, and a low standover. Its headline idea was longevity - roughly 30 months (three summers) of growth built into one frame via dual-hole cranks, a long seatpost and adjustable bars, so a family buys fewer bikes as the child grows. It sat below the off-road Riprock in Specialized's kids range as the do-everything urban/light-trail option. The line appears to have been quietly wound down around 2024-2025, making it primarily a used-market bike today.

Verdiktas
- Light for a big-brand kids' bike - easier for small riders to handle and lift
- Genuinely thoughtful kid-specific fit (narrow Q-factor, small controls, low standover) via Retul data
- Built-in growth room (dual-hole cranks, long seatpost, adjustable bars) stretches usable life
- Premium price when new; adjustability doesn't extend fit as dramatically as marketing implies
- Flimsy-feeling brake reach adjusters and large levers that encourage full-hand braking
- Urban/light-trail only - not built for aggressive off-road, and now discontinued so support/parts are thinning
