Caledonia / Caledonia-5
Izcelsme

Verdikts
- Outstanding on-road manners — reviewers rate its blend of pace, reactive handling and smoothness among the very best in the fast-endurance class
- Genuinely versatile 'do-everything' road bike: race-quick yet comfortable, with 36 mm tyre clearance and full mudguard mounts for winter and rough roads
- Stiff downtube and bottom bracket give efficient, lively power transfer that feels closer to a race bike than a typical endurance machine
- Practical integrated downtube storage ('glovebox') with fitted pouches plus Reserve 42|49 aero wheels that shine on fast flats
- UCI-certified and proven at Paris-Roubaix / Strade Bianche, so it is a real classics race bike, not just a comfort cruiser
- Very expensive — the Caledonia-5 commands flagship money (£7,400 / €7,999 for the Ultegra Di2 build), far above similarly-specced rivals like Ribble or Cube
- Race-oriented gearing (52/36 with 11-34) is aimed at fitter, faster riders rather than casual endurance cyclists
- Not the plushest endurance bike: for ultra-distance riders comfort can become a limiting factor — it favours sportiness over maximum cushion
- Noticeable weight for the price — ~7.95–8.28 kg on the Ultegra build makes acceleration feel less eager than the figure-light competition
- Can feel slightly twitchy at low speeds and is not the easy, forgiving choice for beginners seeking a relaxed ride
