Izcelsme
Epic EVO ir uz takām vairāk orientētais tīrās sacīkšu Epic brālis, kas aizņem down-country kategoriju, kuru Specialized palīdzēja definēt. Epic 8 EVO tika laists klajā kopā ar Epic 8 2024. gada sākumā ar 120 mm aizmugurējo gājienu, kas savienots ar 130 mm Fox 34 dakšu, lēnāku stūres leņķi, saķērīgākām riepām, jaudīgākām bremzēm un SWAT uzglabāšanu rāmī — nekas no tā nav parastajam Epic 8. Kad Stumpjumper EVO tika iekļauts jaunajā Stumpjumper 15, Epic EVO tagad stingri pieder plaisa starp sacīkšu XC un 145 mm takām, kas paredzēts braucējiem, kuri vēlas velosipēdu, kas sver mazāk par 12 kg, kāpj kā kaza, bet nobrauc lejup smagāk, nekā liecina specifikācija.

- SWAT 4.0 in-frame storage — a first for the Epic EVO line, perfect for long days
- Stiff, fast frame that eats high-frequency trail vibration and skips precisely through tight terrain

- 120 mm rear travel reaches its limit on fast, rocky descents — not an enduro bike
- Digressive damper tune feels fast and snappy but not plush; suspension lacks a deep, comfortable feel
- Frame prefers to skip over obstacles rather than absorb them — can feel harsh on chunky terrain
- Pricey: ~2 kg heavier than S-Works Epic yet still expensive across the range (up to ~€12.5k S-Works)
