Izcelsme
Marlin+ ir Trek vislabāk pārdotā Marlin cietās aizmugures platformas elektrificētā versija, kas tika laista klajā 2023. gadā, lai Trek galveno iesācēju līmeņa MTB ieviestu e-MTB kategorijā par cenu, kas ir ievērojami zemāka par Fuel EXe un Powerfly. Velosipēds izmanto Bosch Active Line Plus motoru (50 Nm griezes moments, gluds un kluss, nevis pārspīlēts) kopā ar CompactTube 400 Wh integrētu akumulatoru — mazs pēc 2026. gada standartiem, kas ierobežo darbības rādiusu un spēju braukt stāvos kāpumos, bet saglabā svaru (~21 kg) un cenu zemu. Ģeometrija ir moderna iesācēju līmeņa taku: 29 collu riteņi, 100 mm RockShox Recon Silver dakša, mēreni slīps stūres galvas leņķis un nolaižamais sēdekļa stienis Marlin+ 8. Marlin+ tiek pārdots kopā ar neelektrisko Marlin (Gen 3, 2023+), kas tiek plaši uzskatīts par labāko cietās aizmugures velosipēdu tirgū par cenu zem 1000 eiro. Lielākā daļa Marlin+ pircēju ir ikdienas braucēji, fitnesa entuziasti un taku iesācēji — nevis nopietni bezceļu entuziasti.
