Joyor is a Chinese electric-scooter brand (Xinzhouyang / Shenzhen) that has built its business around affordable, mass-market folding commuters and, later, dual-motor performance models sold widely across Europe through its Joyor-EU storefront and marketplaces like Geekmaxi and Amazon. The A-series is Joyor's small, entry-level line: compact 8-inch-wheel scooters designed for city dwellers who want something they can carry up stairs, fold in seconds and stash under a desk. The A5 sits at the top of that little family - it is mechanically the same scooter as the cheaper A3 but ships with an extra clip-on battery pack to stretch its range past 30 km. It first appeared around 2018 as scooter-sharing and last-mile commuting exploded across European cities, and it has been kept on sale for years as a budget alternative to pricier Xiaomi/Ninebot commuters.
