Grand Canyon Young Hero
Origin
The Grand Canyon Young Hero is Canyon's hardtail kids' mountain bike, designed not as a downsized adult bike but with kid-specific geometry, narrower bars, shorter cranks, and Shimano CUES groupsets chosen for low shift-effort. The 2025-2026 catalogue offers two wheel sizes: the 24" model at €599 (Shimano CUES U4000 plus Suntour XCT JR fork) for riders roughly 130-148 cm tall, and the 27.5" model at €699 (Shimano CUES 10/11-speed plus SR Suntour X1 AIR air-sprung fork) for riders roughly 141-162 cm. Canyon's Young Hero programme is one of the more deliberate kid-bike efforts in the European market—it extends to Exceed (XC race), Lux (XC race full-suspension), and Neuron (trail full-suspension) Young Hero variants—because the brand treats outgrowing-the-bike as a legitimate buying objection and tries to address it with structured trade-up paths and resale value via Canyon's certified pre-owned channel. The Grand Canyon Young Hero is the entry point into that programme and the most-sold kids' bike Canyon makes.
