Agree (Endurance)
Origin
Cube is a Bavarian bike maker founded in 1993 by Marcus Purner in Waldershof, Germany, which grew from a garage-sized operation into one of Europe's largest bike brands. The Agree entered Cube's road line-up in 2013 as the Agree GTC, a carbon sportive bike built around Cube's 'Gran Turismo Composite' fibre and pitched at long-distance riders who still wanted a sporty ride. For 2016-2017 Cube repositioned the range as 'aero-endurance', moved the frame to its newer C:62 carbon (named for ~62% fibre content, reinforced with nanoparticles for impact resistance), and reshaped the tubes for aerodynamics. It later went all-disc, added fully internal cable routing, an integrated aero seatpost and thru-axles. The result is a bike that deliberately sits between Cube's pure race Litening and the more upright, comfort-first Attain — race-fast handling with an endurance-friendly position.
Specifications
- Frame
- C:62 carbon (Advanced Twin Mold Technology; ~62% fibre content, nanoparticle-reinforced). Earlier eras used Cube 'GTC' carbon and, at the very start, alloy-era predecessors in the range.
- Weight
- kg
- Drivetrain
- 2x12 depending on trim: Shimano Ultegra Di2 or mechanical (105/Ultegra), SRAM Rival eTap AXS on some years, Dura-Ace Di2 on the SLT. Typical 50/34 crank with 11-34 (Shimano) or 48/35 with 10-36 (SRAM).
- Brakes
- Hydraulic disc, flat-mount (Shimano Ultegra/105 or SRAM Rival/Dura-Ace by trim), 160mm rotors. Pre-2017 GTC-era bikes were rim brake.
- Wheels
- Aluminium clinchers/tubeless by trim: Fulcrum Racing 77 DB or Racing 400, moving to Newmen Streem carbon (A.49/A.54) on higher current trims (SLT/SLX).
The verdict
- Excellent value for the spec — electronic groupsets (Ultegra Di2 / Rival AXS) at prices below many rivals
- Lively, agile, confidence-inspiring handling from the racier-than-endurance geometry
- Comfortable rear end (flexing aero seatpost + seatstays) that soaks up road buzz on long rides
- Stock alloy wheels and tyres are the obvious weak point — reviewers note they blunt responsiveness and add weight vs rivals
- Front end can feel harsher than some dedicated endurance bikes
- Only 28mm tyre clearance — tighter than modern all-road/endurance bikes that take 32-35mm
