IA (Triathlon)
Origin
The IA is Felt's Integrated Aero triathlon bike, and the entire range shares a single wind-tunnel-honed shape — only the carbon grade changes between the flagship FRD and the value IA 1. The IA 2.0 reinvented it as a curving carbon 'humpback' with hydration, nutrition and spares storage built right into the frame, and a Swedish TeXtreme spread-tow layup unique to Felt. Felt claims the IA 2.0 is around 4% faster than the previous IA1 across realistic yaw angles — a serious gain in a sport where every watt and every second counts.

The verdict
- Genuinely fast, wind-tunnel-developed integrated-aero design
- In-frame storage for hydration, nutrition and spares aids long-course racing
- Same aero shape available from value to flagship carbon grades
- Deeply integrated cockpit and storage make travel and fit changes fiddly
- Aggressive TT fit is uncomfortable for non-racers
- Top TeXtreme builds are expensive and specialized
