Spicy CF
Origin
Race-bred French carbon enduro platform, reborn in 2024 with a single headline trick: one frame can run as a **high-pivot** machine (174 mm, with a 15t idler, built to plow bikepark and EDR World Cup tracks) OR a **low-pivot** design (170 mm, lighter and more efficient) by swapping the rocker link. Kinematics were developed with input from enduro legend Nicolas Vouilloz, and the bike is raced by Isabeau Courdurier and the Lapierre ZIPP Collective on the Enduro World Cup. The UD SLI carbon frame uses over 600 carbon pieces and ships mullet by default with a flip-chip for full 29".

The verdict
- Genuinely two bikes in one: swap the rocker link to convert between high-pivot (174 mm) and low-pivot (170 mm) — full conversion kit included
- Excels on fast, steep, rough bikepark and race tracks; composed and confident plowing at speed
- Modern, aggressive enduro geometry (63.5° head angle, 78° seat angle) with size-specific chainstays
- Stiff, high-quality UD SLI carbon frame with integrated downtube storage compartment
- Sensitive, progressive suspension feel praised across tests
- Not suited to tight, slow, flowy trails or long climbs — a specialist, not an all-rounder
- Stock Schwalbe casings considered too thin for charging hard; many will want tougher tires
- Very limited seat-tube insertion depth restricts dropper travel, especially on smaller sizes
- Dropper post stanchion is exposed to dirt by the frame design
- Mechanical drivetrain on the €10,000 Team build questioned at that premium price point
