Burn-E
Origin
NAMI (New Age Mobility Innovation) is a performance electric-scooter maker founded by Michael Sha, who set out to build a no-compromise flagship rather than another commuter. The original Burn-E launched in 2020 and immediately made noise in the enthusiast community: Electric Scooter Insider named it 'Ultra Scooter of the Year 2020/21', and reviewers noted it broke a string of their own performance test records. What set it apart was not raw speed but ride quality — a hand-welded single-piece aircraft-aluminium frame paired with genuinely adjustable hydraulic coil-over suspension, at a time when most powerful scooters rode harshly. The line matured through the Burn-E 2 (wider bars, waterproof connectors, refined brakes) and the Burn-E 3 (independent dual controllers, 4-piston brakes, up to 40Ah), cementing NAMI's reputation as the 'ride-quality king' of the power-scooter segment.

The verdict
- Class-leading ride quality — the adjustable hydraulic coil suspension is widely called the best in the segment.
- Superb build: hand-welded one-piece aluminium frame, premium hydraulic brakes, high 150 kg load rating suits bigger riders.
- Smooth, tunable power delivery via sine-wave / FOC controllers and multiple ride modes.
- Very heavy (~45-50 kg) and does not fold flat — not practical to carry or store in a car trunk.
- Handlebar display is exposed and prone to damage when the stem is folded.
- Ergonomic quirks: some throttle dead-space, short brake cable makes folding awkward, and a finger-trap point when lifting.
