Raidon
Origin
The Raidon is SR Suntour's volume XC/trail air fork — by the brand's own account its best aftermarket seller by sales volume. It was built to put a real air spring, forged alloy crown and sealed cartridge damper into the price bracket that coil forks normally occupy, with cost taken out through material substitutions rather than design compromise. In May 2017 SR Suntour added a 34mm-stanchion Raidon 34 (120/130mm) above the original 32mm version to raise stiffness for longer-travel trail bikes while holding the price near $360. The fork ships as OEM on countless entry/mid hardtails and short-travel full-suspension bikes and is the upgrade most coil-fork owners reach for first.

The verdict
- Cheap entry into real air suspension — big upgrade over coil OEM forks at the price
- Forged alloy crown and 32/34mm alloy stanchions give decent chassis stiffness for the cost

- CTS swappable-steerer system extends fork life and fit flexibility

- Poor small-bump compliance — reviewers report harsh, almost-rigid feel and 'zero small bump' sensitivity on mellow terrain
- Support trade-off: recommended pressures lack big-hit support, but pumping higher for support makes it harsh and unsupple
- No compression (HSC/LSC) adjustment — only rebound and lockout
- Chassis compresses excessively under bigger impacts; not recommended above blue/XC terrain or for heavier riders
- Q-LOC/Q-LOC2 axle reliability complaints — loses retention 'pop', can stick during wheel removal
