Origin
The F2 Pro sits at the top of Segway's F2 commuter family, frequently reviewed as an affordable 'Mini MAX G2'. Segway took the premium tech of the flagship MAX G2 (Apple Find My, traction control, turn signals) and packaged it in a lighter, cheaper scooter by using a smaller deck-mounted 460 Wh battery and front-only suspension. It launched in 2023 as the F-series' first model with proper spring suspension and an upgraded 450 W motor.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Class-leading front spring suspension and large 10" self-sealing tires deliver ride comfort well above its price class
- Strong acceleration and a genuine 20 mph (32 km/h) top speed for a mid-range commuter
- Premium safety/smart features rare at this price: turn signals, loud horn, Apple Find My, GPS tracking via Ninebot app
- Light at 18.5 kg, realistic to carry up stairs and onto transit
- Reliable performance backed by an established brand and app ecosystem
−Weaknesses
- Real-world range (~26-31 km) falls far short of the advertised 55 km, especially in Sport mode
- Small center display is outdated and hard to read in direct sunlight
- Non-removable battery means it must be charged on-board; ~6-8 h full charge is slow
- Folding latch design is awkward — handlebar attaches to the deck at an odd angle
- Front-disc braking distance (~5.2 m from 24 km/h) is longer than some riders expect
