TernHSD
e-cargo
01
Origin
Introduced in 2019 as the more urban-friendly alternative to the GSD, the HSD trades a bit of rear rack length for a compact footprint that fits standard bike racks. It became a gateway cargo e-bike for city dwellers intimidated by full long-tails, and by its second generation the frame had been substantially stiffened and the motor uprated.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Compact enough for standard city bike parking yet still hauls 60-80 kg on the rear rack
- Belt drive + Nexus internal hub means near-zero drivetrain maintenance
- Easy-step frame and tool-free adjustable cockpit suit a wide range of rider heights
−Weaknesses
- Shorter than the GSD means less stability with very heavy rear loads
- Entry S00 trim has a modest motor and basic display
- Still 25+ kg unladen — heavy for a compact bike without motor assistance
