Verve

hybrid
01

Origin

The Verve is Trek's comfort-leisure hybrid — the bike for a rider whose top priority is not speed or fitness training but simply enjoying a relaxed ride on bike paths, neighbourhood streets, and gentle gravel. Where the FX leans sporty, the Verve leans upright: relaxed geometry that puts the rider in a near-vertical posture, padded ergonomic saddle, suspension seatpost on most trims that takes the sting out of bumps, adjustable-height stem for fine-tuning posture, wide stable 700x45c tyres, and mounts for racks and fenders so it can flex from Sunday spin to grocery run. Frames are Alpha Gold aluminium; drivetrains in the Gen 4-5 generation moved to Shimano CUES with LINKGLIDE technology — a more durable cassette designed for higher mileage and lower maintenance than traditional Shimano hybrid drivetrains. The line runs Verve 1, 2, and 3 (each available in standard and Lowstep step-through frames), with the Verve Equipped trim adding lights, rack, and fenders out of the box. European pricing in 2025-2026 spans roughly €599 for a Verve 1 Disc up to around €1,199 for a fully Equipped Verve 3. The Verve is consistently among Trek's top-selling models in continental Europe and a default first-bike-for-an-adult choice at Trek dealers.
