Origin
The T-100 is VSF Fahrradmanufaktur's entry point into the steel touring family, introduced around 2008. Built at the Oldenburg manufactory in Lower Saxony, it carries the same 25 CrMo 4 chromoly steel frame as the flagship models — just with a more accessible component spec. Over the years it has gained disc-brake and thru-axle variants (the T-100 Sport) while the hub-gear Nexus build persists for low-maintenance urban use.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Same handbuilt CrMo steel frame as higher-spec siblings — quality doesn't drop with the price
- Full touring kit included: dynamo lights, rack, fenders, quality saddle
- Hub-gear option keeps maintenance minimal for city and commuter use
−Weaknesses
- Heavier than aluminium competitors at ~15–16 kg
- Entry-level braking (Magura HS11) on hub-gear builds is effective but less powerful than disc
- Narrower component choice compared to higher T-series tiers
