Origin
The SB165 is Yeti's longest-travel, gravity-focused trail bike, born from Colorado's Switch Infinity platform as the brand's 'pedalable park bike'. The original 2019/2020 generation ran full 27.5" wheels with a 180 mm fork; the 2024 redesign made it Yeti's first dedicated mixed-wheel (mullet) bike with a 29" front, 170 mm fork and a coil-tuned 165 mm rear, sitting between the race-focused SB160 enduro racer and a true park bike.

- Monumental grip and line-holding on rough terrain

- Very expensive — high cost barrier to ownership
- Stock EXO+ tires lack durability for the bike's aggressive intended use (punctures, casing damage)
- Fixed coil spring rate by frame size may force buying an alternative spring
- Internal cable routing is a hassle to service despite guides
- Frame bearings and Switch Infinity link stanchions can wear prematurely; needs meticulous maintenance
