Atlas — the model knowledge base

Atlas is URBALT's knowledge base of bikes and scooters. Each model has its own page with specs, photos, and the sources we used. The goal is simple: when you're looking at a listing, you can click the model name and find out what that bike actually is — frame material, drivetrain, year range, sources we trust.

What's in Atlas right now

Atlas is in pilot. 36 models are live with full data — verified specs, photos, sourced from official brand pages, distributor catalogues, and reputable reviews. The pilot scope is 50 models; long-term we're building toward 200+ across bikes and scooters.

How to find a model

  1. Open /atlas — the entry page lists brands.
  2. Pick a brand (e.g. Trek, Cube, Specialized).
  3. Pick a model — you land on /atlas/[brand]/[model].
  4. The breadcrumbs at the top let you go back up: brand → all brands → community.

What a model page shows

  • Hero specs — frame material, wheel size, drivetrain, year range, weight if known.
  • Photos — official catalogue images where the brand allows it.
  • Sources — where each fact came from. Click through to verify.
  • Listings on URBALT — if anyone is currently selling this model on the marketplace, we link those listings at the bottom.

Schema v3 — what that means

Atlas pages emit structured data (JSON-LD Vehicle and Product schemas) so search engines and AI assistants can understand the model. You don't need to do anything — it just makes the page show up better in Google AI Overviews and similar tools. Schema v3 is our internal version label.

What if my model isn't there yet?

You can still post a listing — Atlas coverage doesn't block selling. We're adding models gradually, prioritising what we see most on the marketplace. If a model you care about is missing, mention it in the forum or open a support ticket.

Why we built this

The Baltic micromobility market doesn't have a neutral place to look up what a model actually is. Brand sites disappear when models go out of production. Atlas is our attempt at a permanent reference, sourced and dated, that buyers and sellers can both point at.
