One account, three countries

URBALT runs across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania under one brand. Each country has its own domain, each domain is its own local marketplace — and for the community side, they're loosely connected so riders across the Baltics can still find each other.

The three domains

  • urbalt.ee — Estonia. Default interface language: Estonian.
  • urbalt.lv — Latvia. Default interface language: Latvian.
  • urbalt.lt — Lithuania. Default interface language: Lithuanian.

Listings are country-local by default

The listings catalog — bikes, scooters, parts, accessories, services — is isolated per domain:

  • On urbalt.ee you only see Estonian listings.
  • On urbalt.lv you only see Latvian listings.
  • On urbalt.lt you only see Lithuanian listings.

Why? Most buyers want something they can actually pick up the same week, not a bike three countries away. Local-first keeps the catalog clean and useful.

Sellers who want cross-border reach can enable Show to neighboring countries when posting a listing — a Premium option. Those listings appear on all three domains and show a small country flag (🇪🇪 / 🇱🇻 / 🇱🇹) next to the location so buyers know where the item actually is. The owner always manages it from their home domain. See the selling guide for details.

Don't have Premium yet? During open beta, the first 100 users on each domain who post 2 or more active listings get 1 month of Premium free — which is the easiest way to unlock cross-border visibility on all three urbalt domains. The homepage shows how many free slots remain on your domain. Full terms in the selling guide → Premium launch promo.

Community feels Baltic — 80/20 mix

The community is intentionally less isolated. Forum, guides, news, events, and routes are pinned to the domain they were created on, but the community feed shows 80% posts from your own country and 20% from neighbouring Baltic countries — you stay in your local scene while still seeing what Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian riders are doing next door.

Accounts — one email, potentially three accounts

A single account is tied to the domain you registered on. The same email address can be used to register separately on urbalt.ee, urbalt.lv and urbalt.lt — those are three independent accounts. Pick the domain you're actually active in.

Language vs domain

Each domain opens in its country's language by default — urbalt.ee in Estonian, urbalt.lv in Latvian, urbalt.lt in Lithuanian. If your browser doesn't advertise a language at all (for example Tor or a privacy browser), we fall back to English.

Your cookie preference wins. Switch language once from the header and the site remembers it on that device across visits. You can be on urbalt.ee reading in Russian, or on urbalt.lt reading in English — whatever suits you. The choice is per-device and per-browser, so signing in from a new phone may show you the domain default again until you pick a language.

Shipping across borders

We don't handle shipping. Sellers and buyers arrange pickup or delivery. For cross-border deals, be especially careful — meet if you can, or use a trusted courier with tracking.

Finding URBALT via Google

When people search Google for "used bike Tallinn" or "electric scooter Riga", they might land on any of the three domains. URBALT tells Google which version of each page to show in which country and language, so searches from Estonia surface urbalt.ee, searches from Latvia surface urbalt.lv, and so on. You don't need to do anything — it just works. Each listing page is also indexed in all five URBALT languages, so a Russian speaker in Latvia searching in Russian can still find the right bike.
