Origin
2016. The Revox is Bergamont's main hardtail MTB platform, positioned between entry-level trail riding and XC racing. It has historically straddled the XC race and trail categories — the carbon variants were genuine XC race machines, while the aluminum range covers beginner to enthusiast trail riders.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Strong size range (SM to XXL) — accessible to a wider range of riders than many competitors
- Fender and kickstand retrofitting built into current frame design — rare for an MTB
- Carbon variants (historical) were genuinely competitive at weight and price
- Geometry label on frame seat tube — practical field reference
- Good value for price across AL range
- Boost thru-axle on all variants including entry AL — future-proof component compatibility
−Weaknesses
- Carbon variants appear to have been discontinued or not refreshed since ~2019–2020
- SR Suntour forks on entry/mid range (Revox 2–6) — commonly considered the weakest link; less damping performance than Rockshox Recon/Select
- 100mm travel limits technical trail capability
- Not a race-focused XC bike in current AL form — geometry is practical, not aggressive
- Limited coverage in English-language press compared to competitors like Trek Marlin, Specialized Rockhopper
