Lux CF SL

Origin

The Lux CF SL is Canyon's accessible full-suspension XC platform. When Canyon revamped the Lux for 2021, they unified the flex-pivot rear suspension across the entire carbon lineup — meaning CF SL riders get the same low-maintenance, zero-bearing rear end as the flagship World Cup models, just in a heavier carbon layup. At ~1,852 g, the frame is heavier than the SLX but the ride character is identical: fast, efficient, and race-focused.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • Full-suspension XC traction at a mid-range price
  • Flex-pivot rear needs zero bearing maintenance
  • Same geometry as flagship World Cup models
Weaknesses
  • ~1,852 g frame is notably heavier than CF SLX or World Cup CFR
  • 100 mm travel is race-specific — limited trail versatility
  • Component spec on lower builds can be a weak link
