Origin

The Elda occupies Crescent's performance tier of city e-bikes — more capable than the popular Elina, with a Shimano STEPS E6100 center motor and a 500 Wh frame-integrated battery. It targets active commuters who want e-bike assistance on hilly routes and longer daily distances, while still being a practical city bike with fenders, lights and a cargo rack.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • Shimano STEPS E6100 center motor delivers natural, powerful assistance — 65 Nm handles loaded commuting and hilly terrain confidently
  • 500 Wh integrated frame battery provides generous 75 km range with room to spare in winter conditions
  • Full utility kit (fenders, lights, rack, lock, stand) plus hydraulic disc brakes and wide 44c tires make it genuinely all-weather capable
Weaknesses
  • At ~25 kg the Elda is heavy — carrying it up stairs or onto trains requires effort
  • Shimano E6100 is a utility-grade motor (vs. performance E8000/EP8) — adequate but not exciting for riders who want maximum power
  • Frame-integrated battery requires bringing the whole bike to a socket, or removing the pack — less convenient than rear-carrier designs on flatter-terrain models
