S2 Pro
Origin
Hiboy is a US-market consumer electric-mobility brand (marketed by Hiboy / parent operations based in California, with manufacturing in China) that rose to prominence around 2019-2021 selling affordable folding e-scooters, hoverboards and e-bikes primarily through Amazon and its own storefront. The S2 Pro sits at the top of the entry-level 'S2' commuter line, positioned as a beefed-up sibling to the plain S2: it borrows the visual language of the Xiaomi M365 that defined the budget-scooter category, but leans on solid honeycomb tires and a rear spring suspension to chase durability and a maintenance-free ownership experience rather than outright ride comfort. It became one of the best-selling sub-$500 commuter scooters in North America during the 2020-2022 micromobility boom.

- Firm, jarring ride on rough or cracked pavement (solid tires + rear-only suspension)
- Real-world range well below the ~40 km claim when ridden at full speed
