KTMMacina Prowler

Origin
The Macina Prowler arrived in 2020 as KTM's most extreme electric mountain bike — the e-enduro weapon in the Macina stable. At 180/170 mm of FOX suspension and carbon frames on top trims, it targets riders pushing hard on black-graded trails. The 2023 Exonic variant won widespread acclaim in e-MTB group tests for its combination of carbon efficiency and Bosch CX power. E-MOUNTAINBIKE magazine included it in their Best E-MTB of 2023 group test.

The verdict
+Strengths
- FOX 38 Factory / DHX2 Factory suspension is class-leading for an e-enduro production bike
- Carbon frame + Bosch CX combination is well-executed — confident on technical terrain
- MAGURA MT7 brakes on Exonic provide exceptional stopping power for repeated heavy use
−Weaknesses
- At 25+ kg the Macina Prowler is among the heavier e-enduro bikes — felt on slow technical climbs
- 25 km/h Bosch assist cut-off is particularly limiting on flat high-speed trails where riders want motor support above 25
- Premium carbon trims carry significant price tags — the Exonic sits at the high end of the e-MTB market
