E-Prime Air
Origin
Razor is the California brand that put the folding aluminium kick scooter into millions of hands after its late-1990s craze, then spent the 2000s and 2010s turning that DNA into electric rides for kids and commuters. The 'E Prime' line was Razor's grown-up, city-commuter answer: slim, genuinely foldable, light enough to carry up stairs, and priced for a first e-scooter rather than an enthusiast. The E-Prime Air, which arrived around 2019, was the comfort-focused branch of that line — Razor took the compact E Prime platform and swapped in an 8-inch pneumatic front tyre so the ride would stop punishing riders over cracked and old pavement, while keeping an airless rear tyre so you never get a flat where it's hardest to fix. It was never meant to be fast or long-range; it was meant to be the honest last-mile companion you don't think twice about grabbing.

- Weight
- kg
- Brakes
- Electronic (regen/motor) front + rear-fender foot brake; no disc
The verdict
- Exceptionally light and foldable — ~9.9 kg, easy to carry and store
- Pneumatic front tyre makes it noticeably more comfortable over rough pavement than airless-tyre rivals in its price class
- Simple, affordable, low-maintenance entry point with widely available Razor spare parts
- Short range (~12 km claimed, less in reality) and modest 24 km/h top speed limit it to genuine last-mile trips
- No suspension and only a single air tyre — rougher than full-suspension scooters, and the rear airless tyre is firm
- No official IP/water rating and only electronic + foot braking — fair-weather, low-speed use only
