Origin

2009. The Contessa Scale was Scott's commitment to women's XC racing beyond just colour changes — a dedicated women's sub-brand with women's-specific contact points on proven race geometry. The key insight: high-performance women's XC racers need the same aggressive geometry as men, not a softened version.

Frame: 6061 custom-butted aluminium (Scale 9xx) or carbon (HMF/HMX/HMX-SL on RC models). Same materials as men's Scale at each tier.
