Origin

Launched in mid-2023, the Apollo Pro is Apollo's halo product and the most ambitious scooter the Montreal-based brand has ever built. It was designed from a clean sheet rather than as an iteration on the Phantom, and introduces several industry-firsts: a smartphone-as-display dock with wireless charging, an integrated SIM card for IoT connectivity (anti-theft GPS, OTA firmware), bar-end automotive turn signals, a built-in SIM, and 12-inch tubeless flat-resistant tires. Electrek called it 'unlike anything else in the high-power scooter category.' The chassis uses adjustable hydraulic front suspension and polyurethane rear bushings. The Pro positions itself against the Dualtron Thunder and Wolf Warrior but with a more refined, motorcycle-inspired aesthetic.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • Industry-first phone-as-display dock with QuadLock mount and Qi wireless charging, backed by built-in SIM/GPS IoT and OTA firmware updates
  • Spectacular build quality: forged aluminum, ~150 custom components, Red Dot Design Award, self-healing 12-inch tubeless tires (10,000 km durability testing)
  • Excellent ride quality — large 12-inch tires plus adjustable hydraulic front suspension absorb bumps well
  • Comprehensive 360-degree LED lighting with automotive-style bar-end turn signals and brake light for real road visibility
  • Independent regenerative braking system layered on top of dual drum brakes
Weaknesses
  • Premium price (~€2899-3799 / $3499) puts it well above mainstream commuters
  • Heavy at ~42-43 kg — folding mechanism exists but it is impractical to carry far
  • Drum brakes give longer stopping distances than the hydraulic discs on some rivals
  • Acceleration and top speed are modest for the price — pure-performance competitors (Dualtron, Wolf Warrior) out-spec it at similar money
  • GPS/IoT tracking requires a paid subscription (~$9.99/mo) after the 3-month trial

Who it’s for

Enthusiast or daily long-distance commuter (25+ km each way, hills, mixed terrain) who treats the scooter as a primary vehicle and wants a connected, premium experience comparable to a high-end motorcycle.
