GazelleMedeo T9

Origin
The Medeo T9 appeared in 2019 as Gazelle's sports-commuter e-bike — lighter and more dynamic than the Arroyo, thanks to a sloping aluminium frame, 27.5" wheels with wider 2.4" tyres, and a 9-speed Shimano derailleur for real-world pace. The 545 Wh Bosch battery paired with the Active Line Plus motor produces one of the best range/weight ratios in the Gazelle line.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Lightest e-city Gazelle with strong range: 23 kg + 545 Wh is a genuinely compelling urban combination
- 27.5" fat tires smooth out cobbles and kerbs without the bulk of a mountain bike
- Shimano 9-speed derailleur gives fine-grained cadence control for hill-heavy routes
−Weaknesses
- Sloping frame is less accessible than step-thru designs for riders in formal wear
- Purion 200 display lacks colour screen and Bluetooth — no navigation or app sync
- 9-speed derailleur needs periodic adjustment and chain cleaning unlike IGH alternatives
