Origin

2010. The Voltage launched in 2010 as Scott's freeride answer — fitting between the Gambler (DH) and Genius (trail). It used adjustable travel (130/150/180mm) via TwinLoc to serve bike park riding, freeride, and aggressive trail use. The name carried connotations of energy and aggression.

01The 2024 Voltage eRIDE uses the same IST integrated shock placement as the Genius — the shock sits inside the frame. Scott moved the lower mount slightly forward and added a shock extender to accommodate the TQ motor in the same space.
02All four Voltage eRIDE models (920/910/900 Tuned/900 SL) use the same full HMF carbon frame — differentiation is purely in components, not structure.
03TQ HPR50 motor at 1.85kg is the lightest MTB motor on the market — enables 17.9kg complete bike at top spec.
04Range extender + water bottle simultaneously is possible (unique sliding mount system) — most competitors require choosing one or the other.

08Original Voltage FR had a single pivot with link-activated shock — the same seat stay acting as the rocker link. Unusual and commented-upon design.
09Pinkbike noted the original 2010 Voltage FR 10 was 'perhaps a little under-forked for daily bike park abuse' — domain fork (Boxxer preferred) — which led to riders upgrading forks immediately after purchase.
