F25
Origin
Segway-Ninebot is the product of one of the industry's defining mergers: Ninebot, a Beijing startup founded in 2012, acquired the original American Segway Inc. in 2015 with backing from Xiaomi and Sequoia Capital. The combined company went on to build the mass-market kick-scooter OEM behind countless shared-mobility fleets (Bird, Lime, Bolt) as well as its own consumer line. The F-series arrived in 2021 as the successor generation to the hugely popular ES/E-series and slotted between the budget E2 line and the flagship MAX. The F25 anchored the bottom of that range as the accessible entry point: cheaper and lighter than the F30 and F40, aimed squarely at first-time buyers and short urban commutes. It has since been carried forward in the EU as the F25E / F25E II, re-tuned to European e-scooter regulations (25 km/h cap, E-MARK reflectors, brighter lights) and now the version most commonly stocked by Baltic retailers.

The verdict
- Comfortable, stable ride from 10-inch pneumatic anti-puncture tyres — unusual at this price point
- Two independent brakes (electronic front + rear disc) give reliable, safe stopping
- Lightweight, quick one-hand fold and mature Segway-Ninebot parts/app ecosystem
- Modest range — real-world ~15-18 km, well short of longer commutes; degrades as battery ages
- No suspension and a low ~10-12% climb grade — struggles on hills and rough surfaces
- Entry-level power means slow acceleration and a firm 25 km/h ceiling
